Beauty Cannabis company makes history

Yummi Karma announced that its become a first cannabis manufacturer to get a state license in Orange County, California.

The female-run company makes cannabis products targeted toward women, including its line of beauty products called HIGH Gorgeous.

The women behind Yummi karma are working on winning over their local community through opening the doors to their newly licensed facility in Costa Mesa, in hopes to show the public that cannabis businesses can be good neighbors, according to a release.

“It is really important to us that the community understand how we operate,” says Yummi Karma CEO Krystal Kitahara. “It’s amazing how receptive everyone is once they realize how hard we’re working to shatter negative stereotypes about cannabis.”
