(PRESS RELEASE) DES MOINES, IA — CI Rigidbox, Corporate Image’s proprietary rigid packaging line, has been recognized with the 2021 GDUSA Package Design Award for the design and construction of the Raw Board Double-Sided Slipcase (pictured) in the Sustainable Packaging category.
It’s the second award in two years for the Rigidbox line. The company also received the 2020 American InHouse Design Award for the Experiential 2-Sided Drop Telescoping Box.
CI Rigidbox is the only rigid paperboard packaging line in the USA that offers raw board box styles. The raw paperboard material boosts up to 99 percent PCW (post-consumer waste) in a gray board box or more than 94 percent PCW among the variety of other colors.
All CI Rigidboxes feature straight lines, sharp clean edges and 90-degree angled corners. Each box is custom-designed to fit the customers’ needs, and branding is made possible with various decorating techniques such as debossing, foil stamping, UV print, and other options including paper or cloth cover materials – similar to the traditional turned edge box but with a bolder, more elegant finish.
