Popcorn brand donates to Autism organization

A snack brand announced today they they’ve donated to a national organization.

The Little Kernel, a healthy line of popcorn snacks announces a donation of $2500 to Generation Rescue, a leading organization that provides hope and treatment assistance to families impacted by autism spectrum disorders, in honor of April, Autism Awareness Month.

The Little Kernel additionally, launched an ongoing charitable program, where 25 cents per case of popcorn sold with be donated through 2017 to the organization.

The Little Kernel, a “miniature” popcorn line, is non-GMO, gluten free and dairy free and comes in a flexible pack.

And Autism is close to home for the brand.

“Throughout our journey with my son’s autism diagnosis, Generation Rescue has provided my family with an unbelievable amount of support and guidance when we needed it the most,” says Chris Laurita, Co- Founder of The Little Kernel. “Through this donation we hope to help other families affected by autism spectrum disorders, and continue to raise awareness by being an advocate for this non-profit near and dear to The Little Kernel’s heart.
