Elle Morris named CEO of HMSDesign

HMSDesign, an established brand design firm, has named Elle Morris to the newly created position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Morris will partner closely with the firm’s founder, Hugh Montgomery to broaden the company’s portfolio of business and expand into the future.

With extensive global design acumen, Ms. Morris was most recently President of the Americas for New York based Elmwood Design, an international brand design consultancy. While at Elmwood she led the firm’s North American new business endeavors with significant new client wins that included Lidl, SC Johnson and Russell Hobbs. She grew the staff size of firm during her tenure and significantly elevated the firm’s client service platform.

She has spent her entire career in creative and marketing services, and is well known in the industry as a powerhouse of design leadership by Procter & Gamble, Revlon, Colgate-Palmolive and Fashion Fair, among others. Ms. Morris has had extensive experience managing brand strategies for international category leading brands including Revlon, Gillette, Always, Clairol, Olay and Fashion Fair. “Elle has a global perspective and has a proven track record in the industry. We believe she can further elevate our consumer driven design and will play a critical role in the future of our business”, says Hugh Montgomery, Founder and President, HMSDesign.

Prior to her leadership at Elmwood, Elle was Vice President and Managing Director of Key Global Accounts at LPK, the world’s largest independent brand design agency. Over the course of 15 years at LPK, Elle spearheaded some of the world’s most beloved brands on a global leadership level, including Herbal Essences, Gillette, Pantene and Olay. She was also responsible for LPK’s global Procter & Gamble business footprint, which included establishing and successfully running the LPK Singapore office. Elle has extensive experience in developing markets in Asia having participated in brand development throughout the region.

Her provocative points of view are regularly published in media outlets such as Beauty Packaging, The Drum, Stylus, The Rose Sheet, COSSMA and Global Cosmetics Industry Magazine (GCI). She is a frequent presenter at industry leading trade events such as HBA Global Expo, the Package Design Matters Conference leading the Women as Leaders in Design and most recently, as a panelist at the Minorities in Design segment.
