Kashi announces GOLEAN Peanut Butter Crunch

The Kashi brand is always evolving and it’s just announced its newest GOLEAN addition: Peanut Butter Crunch. The Peanut Butter Crunch cereal was a perfect way to celebrate National Peanut Butter Lover’s Day on March 1.

Brand Experience magazine: Tell us a bit more about the Kashi brand.

Kashi Spokesperson: Kashi believes eating more plants is the catalyst for a healthier life. Kashi produces nutritious plant-based foods including cereals, entrees and snacks with curated ingredients. All Kashi products being made today – including its GOLEAN and Heart to Heart brands – are Non-GMO Project Verified. Kashi products are available nationwide in the U.S. and Canada. Kashi is based in sunny Solana Beach, Calif.

BXP: What inspired the Peanut Butter Crunch cereal?

KS: Kashi always has its pulse on creating food innovations that taste good and are good for you, with positive, dense nutrition such as plant-based protein. It gets its plant protein from peanut butter, soy flakes, and grains. It’s also vegan and Non-GMO Project Verified. The crunch comes from perfectly toasted crispy, crunchy clusters made with rolled oats and puffed whole grain, which then get rolled in roasted, creamy peanut butter with the perfect balance of sweet and salty. It’s also vegan and Non-GMO Project Verified.

BXP: What is the cereal packaged in? What type of packaging is it?

KS: The carton is recycled paperboard and can be curbside recycled. The original paperboard comes from: trees, which are part of sustainably managed forests, grown specifically for paperboard. The fiber in these trees has the ability to be used multiple times, so recycling the paperboard is not only responsible, but purposeful. The film is polyethylene that can be recycled at stores.

BXP: How are you marketing the new product to consumers?

KS: Kashi will be showcasing GOLEAN Peanut Butter Crunch and other products at the annual Natural Products Expo West trade show in Anaheim, CA from March 8-11 (booth 1415). At the show, attendees will get to kick start their day with GOLEAN Peanut Butter Crunch and a yoga session on March 10. Fans can also follow along with Kashi’s yoga session virtually on the Kashi Facebook Page. People can see GOLEAN Peanut Butter Crunch featured in new Kashi “Share Your Happy” television and print ads this month and can follow along on the GOLEAN Peanut Butter Crunch journey by visiting Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or YouTube.

BXP: Where can consumers find GOLEAN Peanut Butter Crunch?

KS: Available at select grocery stores nationwide, including Kroger and Target, and select online retailers, including Amazon. To learn more about where to find GOLEAN Peanut Butter Crunch, visit kashi.com.
