Zund America Breaks Ground on new North American Headquarters

Zund America Inc. held a groundbreaking for their new North American Headquarters being constructed at Drexel Town Square in Oak Creek, WI. The new headquarters will include offices as well as spaces for product display, customer and employee training, and warehousing for their product and miscellaneous materials that support the installation and servicing of Zünd equipment. The building will include loading docks for shipping and receiving.

Since 2004, when it was first established, Zünd America’s Franklin office has grown from five employees and 10,000 square feet to nearly 80 employees and over 25,000 square feet of demonstration, service, office and warehouse space.  From these offices, Zünd supports thousands of customers all over the U.S. and Canada, in graphics, packaging, leather, textiles/composites, manufacturing and other industries that rely on Zünd cutters for precise, efficient digital cutting.

Oliver Zünd, Zünd Systemtechnik AG’s CEO and President of Zund America, comments at the groundbreaking ceremony: “With our new building of more than 50,000 square feet in Oak Creek, we will have the facilities and resources to continue to provide our customers with the best possible sales and service support and keep growing for many years to come.  With the completion of our new headquarters, we are very excited to further contribute to the Oak Creek community by not only attracting many visitors from all over the US and Canada, but by also supporting local programs such as the Oak Creek High School Robotics team and being great corporate neighbors to The Drexel Town Square Development.”

The striking building was designed by Graf & Tolosa Inc. of San Francisco with Eppstein Uhen Architects (EUA), headquartered in Milwaukee’s Historic Third Ward, serving as the Project Architect. Hunzinger Construction Company is the Construction Manager on the project. The design team also includes Ring & DuChateau, LLP as MEP designers, Kapur & Associates, Inc. as Civil Engineers and Pierce Engineers serving as the Structural Engineer.

Zünd America will relocate to Oak Creek from its current location in Franklin, WI. The project is set to be completed in September of 2019.
