GF Assets Acquires California Natural Products

The parent company of Gehl Foods has purchased a food packaging and manufacturing company in California.

GF Assets Holdings Corporation is the parent company of Gehl Foods, a leading producer of dairy-based, shelf-stable beverages, cheese sauces and other products, acquired California Natural Products, a packaged of dairy-based and dairy alternative beverages, soups, broths, teas and more.

Terms of the acquisition have not been disclosed, according to the Milwaukee Business Journal.

“I’m very excited to lead this expansion at Gehl Foods,” says Eric Beringause, chief executive officer of Gehl Foods. “At Gehl, we inherited an exceptional company with an outstanding track record. Over the past three years, we’ve been able to build on that foundation and look forward to the many opportunities that will come from adding CNP to the organization.”

Reed Smith LLP of Chicago served as legal counsel to Gehl, while CNP was advised by Cascadia Capital and Perkins Coie LLP.
