WestRock Acquires Plymouth Packaging

WestRock Company has announced its acquisition of Plymouth Packaging, Inc. for an undisclosed amount.

Plymouth Packaging is a corrugated packaging company that gains 70 percent of its sales from its “Box on Demand” systems and corrugated fanfold, and 30 percent from corrugated box packaging.

The acquisiton by WestRock represents an entry into the growing on-demand corrugated packaging market that serves many custom-packaging applications, according to a release.

“We are pleased to welcome the Plymouth team to WestRock,” says Jeff Chalovich, president, Corrugated Packaging, WestRock. “The addition of Plymouth Packaging and the “Box on Demand” capabilities furthers our differentiated packaging and packaging machinery strategies, and we look forward to growing this business in our portfolio.”

WestRock intends to integrate 60,000 tons of containerboard used annually to Plymouth Packaging.
