Summerhill Pyramid Winery announces the recognition of a perfect score and a Double Gold Medal for its wine from San Francisco International Wine Competition.
The 2013 ‘Small Lot’ Semillon Icewine won the Double Gold Medal and a 100 point score in the competition.
“Summerhill Pyrmaid Organic Winery and Bistro in Kelowna British Columbia has been honored with perhaps the two most significant awards worldwide, proving once again that organic is the way to be,” says founder Stephen Cipes.
With more than 4200 entries in the San Francisco Competition and 31 countries, Summerhill took the Double Gold.
Previously, in May 2017, Summerhill was named the No. 1 wine at the Chardonnay du Monde Competition in France, with more than 700 entries from 38 countries.
“Summerhill specializes in sparkling wines with Cipes Brut receiving Gold each and every year for 25 years making it the single most awarded wine in Canada. All of Summerhill wines are cellared in a precision geometry pyramid and lovingly made in the certified organic cellar by co-founder Eric von Krosigk and his amazingly talented and dedicated team,” Cipes concludes.
