Kroger to close NC stores

Kroger has announced it will be closing all of its store in the Raleigh-Durham region in North Carolina. Fourteen of the stores will be impacted and the closures will take place by Aug. 14.

The company says that the area is oversaturated with grocery stores, making it highly competitive, not allowing Kroger to grow as it should.

Kroger plans to sell 14 stores, as well, according to the News & Observer. More than 1,000 employees will be affected by the closures.
