Target to roll-out same-day delivery

Target’s recently acquired delivery service, Shipt will be put to good use as it aims to compete in the same-day shipping arena.

Beginning March 1, its same-day delivery service will begin in its hometown. The company is seeking to hire up to 4,000 employees to shop for and deliver orders to customers.

Shipt plans to hire more than 100,000 associates this year to extended the services infrastructure and support same-day delivery in half of Target’s stores in the next several months, according to the Star Tribune.
