Crown Beverage Packaging, North America, a unit of Crown Holdings, Inc. is proud to offer best wishes to long-time metal packaging partner, family-owned Moosehead Breweries, on the occasion of 150 years in business, an anniversary that also happens to coincide with Canada’s own sesquicentennial.

“Moosehead and the Oland family were the first true craft brewers, long before the craft beer segment we know today. The story of their history, and proud family tradition, are rooted in sheer perseverance, which is something to emulate and admire,” says Ron Skotleski, Director of Marketing, North America, Crown Beverage Packaging.

“Moosehead is thankful for long-time partners like Crown for supporting our branding, marketing and sales goals through outstanding packaging, especially in a year of major commemorative rollouts,” notes Adam Reid, Senior Brand Manager, Moosehead Breweries Limited.

Moosehead has many celebratory launches planned to mark its sesquicentennial, including a new limited release Anniversary Ale, a Canadian pale ale made with 100% Canadian ingredients sourced from throughout the country. Crown is proud to be producing the 16-ounce can at its Batesville, Mississippi plant. The brewery will also introduce new packaging for Moosehead Lager, a Moosehead Pale Ale expansion, and the reintroduction of grapefruit-based Moosehead Radler. Moosehead Lager will be packaged in a special edition anniversary can featuring the original Moosehead Lager logo with Crown producing the 12-oz. can in its Lawrence, Massachusetts plant and 16-ounce in its Batesville plant.

In 2017, Crown Holdings is celebrating its own 125th anniversary.

Crown Beverage Packaging will be exhibiting at the upcoming Craft Beer Conference in Washington, D.C., in booth 2462, from April 11-13, 2017.
