Samsung’s Promise: No More Smartphone Plastic Packaging by 2025

At a recent Samsung event, the tech company pledged to eliminate all plastic from its smartphone packaging by 2025, ZDNet reports.

The commitment is part of Samsung’s new sustainability initiative called “Galaxy for the Planet.” Along with eliminating plastic from its packaging, the company plans to incorporate recycled material in all new smartphone products, achieve zero-waste-to-landfill, and reduce the standby power consumption of its smartphone chargers.
